New!

Welcome to the aebal blog!

Our active staff and clients are out and about around Nottingham (and often further a field) morning, noon and night!

Here you can read some stories about what we get up to each day and the wonderful achievements of the people we support!

A full turn out for our Saturday morning fitness session this week.

Staff members Joe and Jason drive around Nottingham at 9am on a Saturday morning and knock on the doors of our often groggy, tired and confused clients! They stumble into the appropriate cars and we head off to KK fitness in Carlton for 2 hours of cardio, weights and boxing! Excellent value at just £4 pay on the day and no membership needed (and you can use the saunas for free!)

We start of with group stretches and there's always lots of laughter and fun as we create new exercises and weird stretches. This week we incorporated some medicine ball catching games that ended up destroying Joe's hamstrings and almost giving Jason whiplash! (postive risk n all that).

Clients Kallum and Dan did their regular bench press challenge (spotted by Jason) and broke their record of 14 reps. The new PB is now 15 and Kallum is determined to reclaim back his record next week!

To finish off the session we head into the boxing gym and get sweating on the bags whilst Joe (amateur boxing record 6-0) does some 121 pad routines with each person. It's great to see how much everyone's technique and fitness is improving week on week. We also found a full body pad in the cupboard this week so Jason tranformed into a human punch bag for a bit, which people were eager (a little too eager) to take advantage of!

Eveyone is then dropped home feeling energised, sweaty and motivated to crack on with the rest of their weekend!
