Introducing THE SUNDAY MASH! - 20th JAN 1pm - 4pm
We're excited to announce something new and exciting for 2019. The Sunday Mash is a monthly social event we host at Fellows, Morton and Clayton on Canal street in Nottingham city centre. It’s starts at 1pm and usually finishes around 4pm.
After listening to the people who access our daily activities, we decided that there was a real need to create a larger monthly event where people could meet and socialise on a Sunday!
The Mash is an extension of the aebal ethos and approach to social support; providing a variety of fun activities, an open and friendly atmosphere and a mainstream venue where people can feel part of their community.
The activities will vary each month and include things such as:
# Video gaming
# Pub quizzes (and prizes!)
# Sky Sports
# and......potentially.....Speed Dating!
The venue is great as it has an upstairs and also two distinct downstairs areas so we are able to cater for people that like noise and talking and also for those who don’t! There is also food and drink available in the main bar area.
For January's Sunday Mash (20th JAN 1pm - 4pm) we will be playing a Movie upstairs on the big projecter (Title still to be decided but I'm pushing for 1990 cult classic TREMORS!)
We will have 5 Gaming screens downstairs plus a large table with some classic boardgames.
The key outcome for The Sunday Mash and all our support is to provide people with meaningful experiences and meaningful relationships so they feel comfortable, confident and happy to express who they are!
The Mash is also a great way to get a feel for the support we offer and a chance to meet all the people involved with aebal.
Awww... was so looking forward to this but 3rd sundays of the month clash with Alex's footy league
Ah that's a shame.....he could pop in for the end bit depending what time he finishes. It won't always be the 3rd Sunday either.
Is there parking there Jason?
Hey, sorry for delay. If it's just for dropping off then yeah there's a really convenient carpark between Fellows and the Canal House
